All is safely gathered in

The wheat has been harvested

Ron was getting a bit cabin crazy yesterday so I took him for a walk before heading off for a session at the gym. There was still a bit of mist around when we headed out on the footpath just across the road from where we live.

What had been fields full of wheat were now fields full of stubble and haystacks - and

Spider's web at the edge of the stubble.

spiders' webs.

Ron and I enjoyed walking along the shady footpath, Ron alternating between chasing and losing the ball. The game of find is just as much fun.

We reached the end of the shaedy section of footpath after about 20 minutes. The T-junction with the Greenway Path was just ahead and in full sun. We turned back as was too hot to go on, despite my sunhat. The sun had almost completely burned off the earlier mist.

Return journey - beautiful, cloudless, blue skies

Chasing and finding is hot work

Ron was hot, but happier.

I've said it before, but it bears repeating - we live in a beautiful part of the world.
