Bathtime

The weather has been mild for the time of year. Mild and wet. One less chore to do in the mornings - de-icing the bird baths.

Yesterday was a fine day. I watched a group of sparrows discovering the delights of bathing in the small bath.

Three more sparrows arrived and all hell was let loose. The contents of the bath ended up on the slate but they all seemed to have had a grand time.

Pity the poor blackbird who turned up soon after they'd left. There was no water for him and there were two turtle collared doves resident in the taller bird bath.

There was no partridge, though, due to lack of a pear tree.
