Five Days

five beach walks.

We never tire of walking on Southwold Beach. Each one brings a different experience - of tides, people (and dogs) we meet, and weather.

We've been very lucky with the weather so far and have managed five long beach walks sans rain since arriving last Friday. Tuesday's forecast was for rain moving in from the west around noon, so we set off early and parked at the pier. The beach was relatively empty so not much interaction for Ron with other people (potential ball-chuckers) and canines (mad chasing and sniffing).

Turn-around point looking back towards the pier

We walked from the pier to beyond the end of the beach huts and back in brilliant sunshine and blue skies. Only when we stopped at the cottage to collect shopping bags on our way up to the large supermarket on the outskirts of Lowestoft did the cloud roll in and the rain threaten.
