Local suppliers



Went shopping in the Food Barn after swimming yesterday for the ingredients for our Ruby Anniversary meal.  I was going to recreate what we ate at The Mariners' in Liverpool that day 40 years ago - steak and chips followed by apple pie - but they had scallops for sale. MWNN loves scallops, so it's scallops for him.

I ordered a sirloin steak for me which I'll collect after swimming today.

To follow, there's Montgomery Cheese for MWNN and a local goat's cheese from Wobbly Bottom Farm for me.

Going to end with an apple crumble rather than a pie.
