Eamonn described our time on Levant as our 'other life'. I am definitely missing the 'back to basics' of a boat.
With the pulmonary rehab clinic postponed until next week, I decided to walk Alf in the sunshine early this morning. Out we went, onto the Greenway, starting at the end of Queen's Road.We met lots of groups, with dogs, and Alf was exemplary the whole time. I'd set myself a target of a mile which, allowing for chat and socialisation stops, took 30mins. I felt very much better and virtuous.
So much so, that I decided to reorganise the storage of Levant II's stuff in the porch, get rid of the hanging rack in the hallway, and relocate the shoe rack from the porch to the hallway,
It didn't take too long and I am not tired, but am aware that I should take it easy for the rest of the day.
A bonus from the work was that I found the lost car keys, at the bottom of the wheeled storage box that lives underneath the bed in the van. I must have dropped them in there when removing stuff from the van for the winter.
I'm considering getting a Wilderness Trailboat to Satisfy my longing to be on the water in a sensible way. Unfortunately, they are as rare as Romahomes, and just as much in demand.
This boat is the smallest of the boats, at just 20ft overall. Yhe logistics of trailingm launching, and finding suitable storage facilities (or mooring) are putting me off the project. It's doable, but I would need a cruising companion for safety reasons.
Wish me luck.
