Hello Hugo

Homemade Hugo cocktail

MWNN is away, so, in his absence, I prepared a Hugo to accompany my solo Aberdeen Angus steak dinner.

I think I may have overdone the fresh lime juice and underdone the elderflower cordial and mint. Plus, I had no straw with which to drink it, which necessitated constant stirring of the cocktail - with a spoon.

The Aberdeen Angus never fails to impress. Rump from Waitrose, pan fried in butter, served with growing salad, fried  tomatoes, and a wholemeal roll with goat's butter.

Absolutely lovely.
