At last - the beach

Ron storming the beach in his joy at the freedom.

Southwold pier in the haze

Monday started off hazy but, by the time we sat down for tea at Suzi's beach cafe, the sun was beginning to burn. We decided to go inland, to the factory outlet shop to buy hats (yes, of course we'd left ours at home.)

Sole Bay Inn

Job done, we ate a late lunch at the Sole Bay Inn. MWNN had a very tasty, ginormous Dover Sole and I opted for the beefburger as there were no lamburgers left.

2Magpies patisserie

We thought we'd go back to the cottage to make a couple of flasks of tea to take to the beach with our NY cheesecake and Sicilian Cassata (from 2MagpiesBakery) for afternoon tea, but decided it was too much trouble. Afternoon tea in the conservatory sounded a much better idea.
