Sweet April showers, Do spring May flowers.

Wildflowers at a French lock, 2010

Whan that Aprill, with his shoures soote
The droghte of March hath perced to the roote
And bathed every veyne in swich licour,
Of which vertu engendred is the flour; ~ Geoffrey Chaucer

Not so sure that the icy rain and hail we've been having recently counts as 'showers' but the garden is in need of  more rain to ensure those flowers bloom in May.
