Many of us

can be over-critical of ourselves. We see failure while others see success. We see poor skill while others see expertise.

"THE VOICE, or our Inner Critic, is something many of us carry in our heads. It’s pretty normal but it can plague us with massive discomfort, doubts and insecurity no matter how successful, experienced, attractive and talented we may be."

Try listing your achievements from the past month/year/decade. Tell yourself how you value them as if you were commenting on a friend's achievements. Is there a difference in how you rate them now?

Be realistic instead of trying for perfection.  Don't be too hard on yourself.

And remember, if someone tells you that you're doing well, they pretty certainly mean it.
