Goodbye procrastination.

While MWNN has been away, and despite a painful knee, I've managed to clear the conservatory of 'junk' and created enough space to set up a worktable for the sewing machine. I have a rep coming next week to quote for replacement blinds as the ones we have are over 20 years old and falling apart. I'm hoping the rep can advise on blinds for the side windows (tilt and open inwards) and some sort of insulation for the roof (triple polycarbon) - too hot in the summer.

There are 'spare' boat curtains to hem, a knitted afghan throw to back, and these pre-cut squares to use making something simple, like placemats, to learn some simple quilting.

No excuses for putting this off much longer now that the conservatory is such a lovely, bright, and roomy space in which to work in these early autumn days. There's no need to put the heating on whenever there's a hint of brightness in the sky as the room heats up very quickly and retains the heat until after the sun sets. It's like having a second heating boiler in the house.
