The beat goes on

I'm very pleased with the progress I am making with the Bodhran. I signed up for an online course with Michelle Stewart. Lessons 42-44 include tuiition in an accompaniment to 'Lark in the Morning', played on the Uilleann pipes by Michelle's husband, Mark. I recorded my first couple of attempts at the whole accompaniment.

Apart from missing a couple of rim shots and losing the rhythm a bit in the transition to the final section, I'm pleased with this. Sorry about the poor quality on the video - the webcam on the laptop is very basic.

MWNN has found some lovely madrigals by the Kings' Singers that offer the opportunity for some improvised bodhran accompaniment.
