Natural beauty

I love working with natural materials, especially when I'm knitting. I've been a long-time fan of Posh Yarn and reckon I have enough stash to keep me going for many years.

It was while I was sourcing some non-wool yarn for MWNN that I discovered Vinni's Colours. Vinni’s yarns are perhaps South Africa’s best-kept knitting secret. Her incredible colours, all applied by hand to fabulously soft cotton and bamboo, are solid rather than variegated. There is a small range of variegated in pure cotton. MWNN discovered that he can't bear the feel of cotton/bamboo mix once it's knitted - something to do with the loops?

Also good to know: the yarn is hand-dyed and balled by women in an economically deprived region, providing much-needed employment and empowerment.

I found this beautiful yarn on Purlescence - another favourite of mine for all things natural  and beautiful a knitter needs.
