This comes as no surprise to those of us who have lived here over 30 years and not found an alternative location that ticks all the boxes we have in our present home.
The only thing that Hitchin lacks is large open spaces on which to walk the dog on a sunny spring morning, though there are plenty of country walks along footpaths around the town. The neighbouring town, Letchworth Garden city, provides one of our favourite open-space walks.

MWNN's car needed a service yesterday, so we headed out very early in convoy. On the way home in my car, we stopped at Norton Common for an early morning walk in rare Spring sunshine.

Then it was back home to a second breakfast for me, a first for MWNN, and a warm bath for Ron.
