We didn't see any surfers, despite the fact that the waves were big - rather like this one.
The Promenade was packed and there was a lot of activity on the beach as the tide turned. Ron loves this beach. He is quite content to explore and play with other dogs when we've called 'time out' on the ball-chucking game.
We had a good long walk (almost two hours), from the beginning of the beach huts beyond the Lighthouse, to the Pier and back. The three tea/coffee huts were doing a roaring trade despite (because) of the cold. There were family groups with children and their dogs enjoying the end of the school half-term-holiday.
