Lest you should think I have abandoned the bodhran in favour of the Irish whistle, there are plans afoot for laying down a rhythm track on the bodhran to which I can practice (and eventually play and record) the jig I'm learning. I can make use of the 'free camcorder' and accompany the bodhran on the whistle and vice versa.
I'm already recording my attempts on the laptop webcam to iron out any bad habits and improve the playing of ornamentation on the whistle.
Sometimes, technology really is wonderful.
