I love singing

Singing in a group is a great way to lift  your spirits and to put the stresses and strains of everyday life to one side for an hour or two.

It also keeps your brain active and your memory excercised. We learn everything by ear, memorising all the harmony lines, changes of key and tempo, not to mention words in a foreign language. One of the most challenging songs (for me) last term was A la nanita, a lullaby in Spanish. The bass part was difficult and I found it impossible to sing the words from the lyrics sheet. I devised my own phonetic version.

Here's the result (with lyrics) , sung live in December 2011.

Nearly everyone says they feel much better after a good session, and the group certainly does promote new friendships.
