Looking through old photo albums over the Christmas period and marvelling at how many 'candid' shots are excellent examples of this. So many posed photos show 'painted on' smiles from which that inner light is missing.
I think you have to be a very good actor to replicate a genuine smile on demand for the camera and/or a very good photographer to capture the moment when the light appears.
