Blue skies

Nothing but blue skies

 do I see.

"The human eye contains rods and cones sensitive to red, green and blue tints. Because the eye is so sensitive to these specific hues, primary colors like blue can fall into a vast collection of shades and hues."

Autumn skies in this part of the country  take on a deep hue all their own. Where the sun is, the sky is a pale blue, but in the part of the sky opposite the sun, it's deeper, almost cornflower blue.

A blue or clear sky gives a feeling of freedom. Space seems limitless. When the sky is a clear bright blue the earth seems to have no boundary. On the other hand, when the sky is overcast and grey it feels oppressive.

Colours play a big part in our lives. When we decorate our homes, for example, we not only choose colours that look good together but those that we can live with. The choices we make, if made well, can make a room more relaxing, inviting and a place where we always feel at ease. Blue is known to be one of the most calming and soothing colours available. Its effect on people can be to induce a more relaxed mood.
