from a very much 'organised at the last-minute' trip to Scotland where we met some of the Elliot clan and visited Hermitage Castle. There was a heavy rainstorm (with attendant ominous black clouds and rumbling thunder) during our visit so my photos are a bit soggy.

Also found - the origin of the word 'bereavement' - from the words rob and robbed. Derived from an old Scottish clan of raiders - called the ' reivers - who plundered, pillaged and generally took what they wanted from the English folk south of the border.
