It's amazing what a spot of sunshine can do to lift your spirits. The sun has peeped through the grey a few times over the last couple of days but, even when the clouds rolled back, the sunny yellow forsythia is shining brightly in the neighbourhood.Forsythia is a sure sign that Spring is on its way. When The Daughter was young, we would bring in branches to decorate with eggs as the Easter Tree. A late Easter (this year it's extremely late) meant that the yellow flowers would be replaced by green leaves before Easter Monday. This year, the bushes will have turned to green before the beginning of the Easter Holidays.
