Frosty the snow(man)

snow 003Today's Red Hats' Christmas tea was cut short due to weather. At one point, there was a white-out and MWNN was threatening to send the huskies to collect us. Sue and I watched through the window at the town centre emptying as the snow fell thicker and faster all through the Red Hat Singers' performance. We reduced the numbers of songs, ending with 'We wish you a Merry Christmas. Then it was time for a quick Red Hat 'pass the parcel' version of Secret Santa, a few mouthfuls of afternoon tea, and we were on our way back home via the Rugby Club where we collected Sue's 'Im Indoors.

This is the view that greeted me from the conservatory at 4pm. The driving snow left frosty fingerprints on the outside of the glass. It looks very pretty but the drive home was treacherous. Anything more than 20mph was foolhardy - and there were some fools out and about.

MWNN stocked up with supplies having dropped Sue and I off at the Christmas Tea venue so we are pulling up the drawbridge for the next few days.
