We broke with tradition this year and I cooked Christmas dinner as MWNN was busy being a plumber with bits of copper pipe and a hacksaw.

Herb roasted new potatoes and parsnips
Sprouts with almonds in a garlic butter sauce
Gravy made from Christmas Eve's casserole
Rose champagne, red wine,
Champagne jelly 'amuse-bouche' (which we didn't eat)
Christmas Pudding with Crème anglaise.
