A walk on a boat?

This phrase has always amused me with the suggestion of walking on water.

MWNN had a rest from his labours and took part in a 'promenade' on Sunday, celebrating 200 years of the Canal St Quentin.

MWNN was unable to use our narrowboat as the engine has problems, not least of which is a broken fanbelt (that's four in just over a month's cruising - something is not well) and a bilge full of water. One of the resident boaters ( a fellow Brit) invited MWNN to crew aboard his broadbeam.

They seem to have had good autumn weather for the trip, after which, the boaters and crews adjourned to the Club House for grog and victuals as befitted Talk like a Pirate Day
