Everybody loves the sound of a train in the distance

In the summer, when the wind is in the right direction, I can hear the trains as they slow for the junction outside the town. It's just magical, especially now there's a steam locomotive (Tornado class) running on the line between Kings' Cross and York.

Watching the skies last night was a little disappointing. Only four 'shooting stars', travelling East to West, in about 20 minutes of getting cold before the cloud thickened and ended the display. The first meteor I saw was the brightest and longest. MWNN didn't see any despite being outside the North East facing front of the house for over 30 minutes.
