I like the metal 2012 Olympic mascots that were unveiled on the One Show and don't understand why people who are so critical insist on harking back to the past for representations of Britain.

I suspect I'm going to hate the soft toy and other versions of their images on promotional materials, but then I'm not a child (not very often anyway).
