I was losing weight too fast last week and despite not being very hungry thanks to a high temperature, decided on bangers and mash for dinner. I'd forgotten how much I like Old English sausages. They're thick (natural) skinned and chunky textured, just as I remember sausages were in  my childhood. Served with mashed potatoes and garden peas, they were scrummy. 

Mash is incredibly easy to digest if it's done properly - and mine was done properly; lots of butter, warmed milk and a very efficient masher.

Feeling marginally more human this morning.
